Because I simply adore the colour green…

More from my trip - a Maldivian brunch… I’ll leave it to Amira’s Food Forays to tell you more about the food itself :)

Trip back to Maldives Part 1 - my cousin’s pet bird, Robbie, currently residing at our old place, along with a few 2 - 3 year old cousins. He had learned to screech from the experts…

Fiddling with my camera on the bus home… I love lonely rides where I can go nuts with my camera without people thinking I’m weird! ;)

Rugby World Cup 2011 Semi-finals; All Blacks vs Wallabies
Supporters at The Cloud gearing up for the match!

I did my first ever dinner photo shoot for the Uni International House on Friday night. It was eye-opening to the photography skills that I have and still need to develop. This photo was one of the outcomes of the night that I was really proud of, among quite a few others, of course. So, here’s the Kiwi dessert of the night - mouthwatering Fairy Bread :)

Sunset behind the Auckland Memorial Museum - Friday’s photo…

This was Thursday’s photo, up at twilight… maybe I’m just imagining it, but there seems to be a tinge of summer in the sky…

So, it seems that though taking photos everyday is proving to be lots of fun, I’m getting real slack in uploading them. Hopefully, with this, I’ll be more diligent. I love baking and just felt like making a Chocolate Cake today… well, with a twist… so this would be my version of a Double Chocolate Hazelnut Cake…

Now, I’m off to enjoy the chocolatey goodness whilst its still warm!

I decided today that I would make my beloved Canon 5D mk II a part of everyday life; an endeavor to improve my photography skills and also, of course, find my creative voice - or rather, vision.

GOAL 1: A Photo A Day (at least!)

Starting with a few mornings shots of experimental monochromes, my brunch coffee with my bestest friend in the world & my most beautiful model - Mum, some surprising finds whilst at the Supermarket as well as some shots of the RWC celebrations that have overtaken the city this past month, I find that I have quite exceeded expectations for my first day. My lens capping shot for the day is the rich hues of a sunset taken from my place.

All in all, this blog is simply a log of my life, mostly through the lens of my Canon - enjoy!
